Mandarin Film’s acclaimed kids drama-documentary, Chinese Princess Meets the Wild, continues to win hearts and accolades, most recently receiving the Excellent Creation Work Award in the Cultural and Artistic Category of the Short Video Unit at the 15th Beijing International Film Festival.

This recognition marks another milestone for the series, which has already earned acclaim at the 30th China Documentary Academy Awards. The Beijing International Film Festival is a major cultural event in China, celebrating innovation and excellence in both traditional and emerging formats, and attracting leading creators from across the country.
A co-production between Mandarin Film and CICC, Chinese Princess Meets the Wild follows a young princess on a captivating journey through China’s vast landscapes as she meets ten iconic animals—ranging from yaks to golden snub-nosed monkeys—each representing a piece of China’s natural heritage.
With stunning cinematography and emotionally rich storytelling, the series brings together history, wildlife conservation, and the spirit of exploration, inspiring young audiences to appreciate the bond between humans and the natural world.
The series continues to perform well on Chinese OTT platform YOUKU and is being distributed internationally by Boat Rocker Studios.
